Achieving fast and accurate loads calcs on every project is easy. Here's how:
1. Set construction defaults before scanning
With Amply 5.7.0, you can now easily set construction defaults from a single menu. We recommend setting construction defaults before scanning any rooms. This ensures that any defaults selected will apply to all scanned rooms.
⚠️ Defaults only apply going forward, not backward
Setting a default — for windows, walls, ceilings, or any other component — only affects rooms you scan after you set it. It won't retroactively update rooms you've already scanned.
2. Do room-by-room scans
This will help you generate room-by-room loads and allow you to more precisely tailor your assumptions.
3. Review and adjust defaults as needed
Use the same construction default menu to review defaults and adjust as needed
Remember! Updating the defaults only applies forward. Changing the defaults in the middle of a project will only impact remaining room scans. Once a room is scanned, the only way to adjust the construction details is to edit the room directly.
