1. Is the Spreadsheet tool compatible with Google Sheets?
Unfortunately, it uses some special formulas that are not compatible with Google Sheets at the moment. It is compatible with Microsoft Excel and Apple Numbers. We hope to make it more broadly compatible in the future.
2. What if I have more than one outdoor unit for the project ?
You should be running a Manual S for each individual outdoor unit that you have for the project.
Example: Let's say one system serving the second story of the home and another system serving the first story of the home.
The total 1st story load calcs are used for inputs in Manual S for sizing the outdoor unit serving the 1st story
The total 2nd story load calcs sizing the second outdoor unit
If you look in the cartoon view of the home and tap on one of the stories in the lower right-hand corner, you can see that we've done the math for you of adding up all the loads for that story:
